The FURUNO FND3200 ECDIS is a solution to support smooth transition from paper-based navigation to electronic navigation. Task-based operation realized by combination of Status bar and InstantAccess bar providing quick access to the needed tasks/functions.

Description

The Furuno FMD3100 ECDIS delivers straightforward user interface identical to the FURUNO ECDIS models FMD-3200/FMD-3300. Fully complying with the performance standard of ECDIS stipulated in IMO resolution MSC.232(82), the new ECDIS is going to be a suitable candidate designated for new installation as well as retrofitting projects to fulfill ECDIS mandatory carriage that has started with phased-in time frame from July 2012 onward. The new ECDIS will also bring about streamlined chart management scheme. The new ECDIS is compatible with Jeppesen Dynamic Licensing and it supports the Admiralty Information Overlay (AIO). What is more, its network expandability fully satisfies provisos for paperless operation of vessels.

For those who have already installed the FMD-3200/FMD-3300 onboard the vessel, the FMD-3100 can be used as a cost-effective back-up arrangement for the FMD-3200/FMD-3300 ECDIS.
