Speed Logs

FURUNO DS85 is a new generation Doppler Speed Log that penetrates through turbulent water to provide incredibly accurate speed measurement. Speed and Distance Measuring Equipment (SDME) is required for SOLAS vessels of 150GT or more, and the DS85 delivers the pinnacle of stability for these ships, capitalizing on Furuno's decades of expertise to produce reliable speed measurement in the most challenging of conditions.

The JRC JLN-550 Doppler Sonar is designed to provide ship speed information with higher stability in the dual frequency modes. It uses a lower ultrasonic frequency that is adequate to measure the ship’s speed against the ground up to larger depths and the other using a higher ultrasonic frequency that allows the ship’s speed against the water to be measured even in water with tiny bubbles.

The JRC JLN-900 series is a combined integrated speed log compliant with the IMO MSC 334(90) standard, required on all internationally voyaging ships exceeding 50.000 GT. Due to its unique combination of single axis speed through water and three axis speed over ground it provides highly accurate measurements and it reduces installation time and costs significantly.
